So I think I have a new favorite blog. Zen Habits constantly creates great material. It seems like every article posted on that blog provides something really great and useful. Two of their posts land on this list this week…
- Zen Habits gives 16 ways to get motivated when you are in a slump. These are some great tips to really get excited about what you do.
- Getting Green gives 10 tips to protect yourself when renting a home. One great tip is to add a clause in your lease to be able to terminate the lease if there is a major life change.
- Zen Habits has a guest post from Scott Young about how to learn more and study less. This is some great advice since Joe and I are constantly trying to juggle jobs, school, personal relationships and a blog.
- One Man’s Goal discusses the 7 types of visitors that come to your blog. “The Diamond” is the reader that we all strive for.
- The Digerati Life has 17 cheap ways to keep cool and survive a heat wave. I personally like hanging out at the river and lakes.
- The Simple Dollar looks at whether or not those $20 coupon books are worth the money. Most likely you end up spending money on things you have coupons for that you probably wouldn’t have bought otherwise.
- The Simple Dollar also has a great post about what to do when debt seems insurmountable.
- Get Rich Slowly has a guest post from Alexandra explaining how to request, and receive, that raise that you deserve.
- FiveCentNickel compares high yield savings accounts and which is the best deal. Joe and I actually have accounts that aren’t listed. We use Washington Mutual. They offer a 5.25% interest savings account as well. Since this is where we do our checking, it makes it really easy to transfer between accounts.
- Clever Dude examines the motives behind purchasing a home. One thing to consider is what you will gain from buying over renting.
That’s my list for this week. Enjoy
