 Matt Wolfe is 24 years old and works full time for the family business. He is a part owner in a company that manufactures custom wood shutters. Matt also helps other small companies with various web development projects such as designing, creating and maintaining commercial websites. He attends National University at night as a finance major and has very little free time to do much else. Matt has been a very successful investor over the past several years and spends many hours a week doing research and planning his future investments. When not busy, working, investing and going to school, Matt spends his free time at the local lake and on the Colorado River with the speed boat that him and his father purchased together. He is also known to spend his winter weekends in the desert with his motorcycle or in the mountains snowboarding. Matt is also a skilled guitar player who has been in and out of bands over the past 5 years. He now focuses most of his attention on his girlfriend, Alana, his career and his new found love for personal finance blogging. A driven entrepreneurial minded college student, Joe Fier attends full-time at Cal State San Marcos pursuing a degree in Marketing. He currently works part-time at two jobs while juggling the many hobbies he loves outside of it all. While working with Matt at the shutter manufacturing plant throughout the week, many of the qualities discussed and learned in this blog were laid out. On weekends, Joe spends his time at local natural food markets promoting various products for a marketing company. From this position, Joe has learned the inner-workings of marketing and sales. Between the two jobs, he is a dedicated runner and cyclist. With his girlfriend, Heather, he has run three half-marathons this past year and is anxiously awaiting his first full marathon, triathlon, and other ultra-relay races in the very near future.
